Hall isn’t the only hero at Chardon Large Faculty. Joseph Ricci, a math instructor, pulled a wounded male student into his classroom and administered very first help till paramedics arrived at the scene.

“We were sitting there and you could listen to every person jogging down the hallway. Then you could listen to the gunshots. They started out screaming ‘lock down’ and you didn’t know what was going on,” junior Haley Tierney advised ABC Reports affiliate WEWS.

“[Mr. Ricci] has lockers in his classroom and he was so protecting. He grabbed a bulletproof vest and a hammer and closed the doorway and manufactured positive we have been Okay. He introduced the child in our area and served him and held him there till the medics got there,” she said.

Students are also crediting apply terror drills with preserving lives.

“I imagined drills were silly. We did them every single two months. Turned lights off, backs to a wall,” said a university student called Jonathan.
